INSTALLATION

Unpack the shower filter, ensuring the rubber washer is in place in the chrome inlet collar. Remove your existing shower head from the supply pipe. Insert the fragrance bar if desired. Wrap plumbers tape 1-2 times around the shower pipe threads. Attach the filter body to the shower pipe at the side with the chrome collar, turning clockwise to tighten. If needed, use pliers to turn the chrome collar an additional 1/4 turn. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Attach the shower head to the filter. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe without adequate disinfection.

MAINTENANCE

Replace the PSF-1 filter cartridge every 9 months to ensure peak performance. Replace more frequently if you use the shower more than twice daily, take showers longer than 10 minutes, or if your city uses surface water (lake or river) which typically has higher levels of sediment and chlorine. When installing a new filter, flush the system with cold water until it runs clear, then adjust to normal shower temperature. Be aware of the slight delay in temperature adjustment due to the volume of water in the filter.
