Wall Preparation
Use the provided template to locate the mounting base on the wall.
For brick, stone, or concrete walls:
- Drill four 0.315" (8mm) holes to fit wall plugs (0.315" x 1-1/4" or 8mm x 45mm) and screws (#10, 4.8mm x 2" or 50mm long).
- Refer to the template for wall plug and screw installation details.
For plaster or drywall:
- Ensure concealed backing complies with local building codes.
- Secure with four #10 (4.8mm) round-head sheet-metal screws or 3/16" (5mm) toggle bolts (not included).
Provide electrical service from the nearest distribution panel to the mounting base according to local electrical codes.
Wiring Instructions
For 115-Volt Dryers:
- Connect the ground wire to the terminal marked with a ground symbol.
- Connect the black (hot) wire to the terminal marked L1.
- Connect the neutral (white) wire to the terminal marked N.
For 208–240-Volt Dryers:
- Connect the ground wire to the terminal marked with a ground symbol.
- Connect the 208–240-volt wires to terminals L1 and L2.
Notes
- The electronic sensor in automatic dryers detects movement within 6" (150mm) of the air-outlet opening.
- Avoid installing the dryer in confined areas or close to doorways and high-traffic spaces to prevent accidental activation.
